Top 10 Tips for College Admissions/Scholarship Interviews
Prepare using your BRAG sheet so that you can best represent yourself.
Research the school and programs offered beforehand.
Dress as professionally and neat as possible.
Have a "dress rehearsal" 5 days ahead.
Bring a nice-looking notebook and pen to write notes.
Prepare intelligent questions for your interviewer about the school/scholarship.
Map the directions ahead of time and arrive slightly early.
This is your interview NOT your parent's. Leave them in the waiting area.
Be sure to demonstrate your passion/energy about the school/scholarship.
Write and send BOTH and email and snail mail letter thanking each interviewer.
(You may want to ask for a business card from the person if you don't already
have their contact information.)
